Sustainable Development Goals


United Nations has phrased 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the ambition of leading the way to a better and more sustainable future for all people of the world.

The 17 SDGs and their 169 underlying targets point out social, environmental and economic challenges to be addressed by initiatives taken by countries, by governments, by authorities, by organizations, by companies and by everyone. All of them are urgent and must be achieved with 2030 as the ambitious deadline to ensure global benefit of the efforts.

For companies, the SDGs tap into global stakeholder management in terms of expectations, needs and requirements in the whole value chain.

Mapping all goals

At PolyTech, we incorporate the 17 Sustainability Goals as a vital part of our corporate strategy. 

We have no intention of working with the goals primarily for corporate reputation and marketing reasons. Quite on the contrary, the goals play a true and heavily intertwined role in the day-to-day operation of our company. 

Therefore, to focus PolyTech’s efforts we have mapped the 17 SDGs and the 169 targets to better understand the areas in which we can make a true impact - but most importantly to have an overview of where we must increase our focus to reduce adverse impacts and enhance positive impacts. 

Our findings will be our beacon in the efforts to realize the Sustainable Development Goals and our 2025 Corporate Strategy.


With our activities worldwide, PolyTech is affected by all 17 SDGs, and several of them are crucial to our strategic decisions as well as our sustainability initiatives. 

Our commitment to the SDGs and efforts to collectively secure a cleaner, safer and brighter future is emphasized through our certification in the Sustainable Development Goals by Bureau Veritas - as the first company in the wind industry. 

We have identified several SDGs where we can make a positive impact either directly through our activities or indirectly through our own and customers’ value chain. 

Based on our current strategic priorities we expect the largest potential for positive impact on SDGs 7, 12, 13 and 14. Each SDG plays an important part and we strive to ensure that we positively impact all to some degree.
