Polytech acquires Dansk Gummi Industri, strengthening protection solutions for wind transport and handling

Polytech Group ApS today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Dansk Gummi Industri A/S. 

The acquisition strengthens Polytech’s offering in pads, interfaces, and protective solutions used during handling, storage, and transportation. It also supports Polytech’s broader growth ambition by expanding the company’s ability to serve customers with solutions that improve protection and performance across the wind segment and other industries. 

In the coming months, the parties will jointly identify synergies to strengthen delivery, performance, and customer experience.

René Balle, CEO at Polytech, said: 

“This acquisition strengthens our offering and reinforces our ability to serve customers with specialist protection solutions across wind transport, handling and beyond. By bringing Dansk Gummi Industri into Polytech, we can accelerate our growth ambitions, broaden our industry reach and create an even stronger platform for customer-specific solutions.” 

The two owners of Dansk Gummi Industri, brothers Peter and Christian Thomsen, will both continue in new roles at Polytech. In a joint statement, they said: 

“The timing is right for Dansk Gummi Industri to transition to new ownership that can support scale, continuity, and global reach. We believe Polytech is the right long-term owner to develop the business further while building on the capabilities and customer relationships that define Dansk Gummi Industri.”

With the acquisition, Polytech’s number of employees will increase from approximately 400 to approximately 460. 

Detailed terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
